Now you move from "what happened" to "what does it mean?"
-
Prompt 4 (Themes & Ideas):
"Identify and explain the 3-5 most important themes in [Book Title]. For each theme, provide at least two direct examples or quotes from the text that illustrate it."
-
Prompt 5 (Character/Argument Development):
"Analyze the development of the main character, [Character Name]. How do they change throughout the story, and what events are the primary catalysts for this change? [For non-fiction, use: 'Analyze the development of the author's central argument. How is it introduced, built upon, and concluded?'] "
-
Prompt 6 (Author's Style & Purpose):
"Describe the author's writing style, tone, and narrative voice in [Book Title]. What is the author's likely purpose in writing this book, and who is the intended audience? Use evidence from the source to support your analysis."
Phase 3: Synthesis & Audio Review Script Generation¶
This is where you assemble all the analyzed information into a coherent script.
-
Prompt 7 (The Master Review Prompt):
"Act as a professional book reviewer creating a script for a 5-minute audio podcast. Using all the information you have summarized and analyzed from the source [Book Title], generate a comprehensive review. The script should be engaging, easy to read aloud, and structured as follows:

3. Deeper Analysis (The Core): Discuss the book's major themes, character development, and the author's writing style.
4. Strengths & Weaknesses: What does the book do exceptionally well? Are there any areas where it falls short or could be improved?
5. Conclusion & Recommendation: Summarize your main points and provide a final recommendation. Who would enjoy this book and why?"
Phase 4: Refinement for Audio¶
-
Prompt 8 (Polishing):
