List of Chase Sapphire Reserve® benefits
As of February 2026, the card has undergone significant changes, including a higher annual fee, a restructured rewards-earning system, and a new set of lifestyle and travel credits. Most notably, the 3x points on general travel has been removed, and the 50% redemption bonus through Chase Travel is no longer available to new applicants.
Here is a complete, updated breakdown of the card's benefits.
1. Fees & Welcome Offer¶
- Annual Fee: $795 (Increased from $550).
- Authorized User Fee: $195 annually per user (Increased from $75).
- Welcome Bonus: Earn 125,000 bonus points after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Note: Offers can change at any time.
2. Earning Ultimate Rewards Points¶
The earning structure has changed significantly, placing a much greater emphasis on booking through Chase's own portal. The broad "3x on all other travel" category has been eliminated.
- 8x Total Points: On hotels and car rentals purchased through Chase Travel℠.
- 5x Total Points: On flights purchased through Chase Travel℠.
- 4x Points: On flights and hotels booked directly with airlines and hotels.
- 3x Points: On dining at restaurants worldwide, including eligible delivery services and takeout.
- 10x Total Points: On Chase Dining purchases with prepaid reservations.
- 1x Point: On all other purchases, including travel not booked through Chase or directly with the provider (e.g., cruises, tours, transit).
Partner Bonus Earnings: * 5x Total Points: On Lyft rides through September 30, 2027. * 10x Total Points: On Peloton equipment and accessory purchases over $150 (up to 50,000 points total) through December 31, 2027.
3. Redeeming Ultimate Rewards Points¶
- Important Change for New Applicants: If you apply now, you will no longer receive the flat 50% bonus (making points worth 1.5 cents) when redeeming for travel through Chase. Instead, you will have access to "Points Boost," where points can be worth up to 2 cents each on select bookings, but the base redemption rate for travel is 1 cent per point.
- 1:1 Point Transfer Partners: You can still transfer points at a 1:1 ratio to participating airline and hotel loyalty programs (e.g., United, Hyatt, Marriott, British Airways). This remains one of the most valuable ways to use your points.
- Pay Yourself Back℠: Redeem points for statement credits in rotating categories. As of Q1 2026, categories include Gas Stations, Gym Memberships & Fitness Clubs, and the Annual Fee at 1.25 cents per point, and select charities at 1.5 cents per point.
- Cash Back/Gift Cards: Redeem points for cash back or gift cards at a rate of 1 cent per point.
